We are glad to announce that our winery’s 2019 Pinot Blanc wine took a third place on the 10th Borbála Day’s Wine Ball in the Anna Grand Hotel, Balatonfüred. This success enabled us to receive an invitation to the Anna Ball in May 2021, where our Csobánc Hill wines will be offered to the participants.
The patron of the ball, an event which was organized on a beautiful venue on the 14th December, was Dr Viktória Horváth, the Georgian ambassador of Hungary. 18 wineries participated in the wine competition and besides the award-winning Pinot Blanc of the Csobánc Hill Bakos Winery, the Welschriesling of 2019 and our Furmint as well got a very good expert’s opinion.
“We are extremely proud of the good performance, for which grateful acknowledgements are due to our viticulturist, Ferenc Knolmajer for his outstanding job. We are especially happy to our virgin vintage wines of our own plantation – Pinot Blanc and Furmint -, which will hopefully gives us a lot of good vintage in the future, as well. During the competition we made an effort to get to know the wines of other wineries as well, among others, we could taste excellent, organic wines from Csopak. It has strengthened our resolution that our organic, viticultural purposes are good directions” – summarized her experience Aranka Bakos, the owner of Bakos Winery.
